This page describes what Golinder Publishing collects from you when you read it. Policies of this kind are usually long because the sites behind them do a great deal with visitor data. This one is short because this site is a set of static files and can do almost none of it.

There is nothing to sign up for

Golinder Publishing has no user accounts, no login and no registration. There are no contact forms, comment fields, surveys, uploads or search boxes anywhere on the site. Nothing here asks you to type anything, so there is no name, e-mail address, postal address, telephone number or message of yours for this site to hold. Nothing is sold here either, so no payment or card details are ever handled.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags and no behavioural profiling. Nothing is written to your browser's local or session storage. You can confirm all of this in your browser's developer tools rather than taking our word for it.

Web server logs

The server that delivers these pages keeps ordinary request records as it works: the IP address a request came from, the date and time, the page asked for, the status returned, and the user-agent and referrer strings a browser chooses to send. Every web server keeps records of this kind, and they are what make it possible to serve pages, diagnose faults and recognise abuse. They are not linked to an identity, are not used to build a profile of you, and are not sold or shared for marketing. They are kept only while they remain useful for those purposes.

Fonts loaded from another provider

The home page and the articles on this site load their typefaces from a third-party web font service rather than from this server. Delivering a font requires that provider to receive your IP address and the basic request information any web request carries, handled under its terms rather than ours. This page, along with the About and Contact pages, loads nothing from outside this site.

Links to other sites

Articles here link to other websites. Following one takes you somewhere this site neither controls nor monitors, under whatever privacy practices apply there. Some of those links are commercial, which the About page explains.

Requests about your data

Requests to see, correct or delete personal data are the heart of most policies like this one. This site holds none, so there is nothing here to retrieve, amend or erase. The Contact page explains why there is no address to write to.

Children

Nothing on this site is directed at children. Because the site collects no information from any reader, it collects none from children.

Changes to this page

If this site starts doing something with reader data that this page does not describe, this page will be updated to describe it.
